These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website daretogether.net (“Website”) and your participation in the Dare Together community (“Community”), operated by Simon Maximilian Heistermann, Mutter-Teresa-Weg 6, 46325 Borken, Germany (“we”, “us”, “Dare Together”).
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By using our services, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
By submitting an application, creating an account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
Dare Together is a community platform that connects entrepreneurs, freelancers, and creative professionals through shared, month-long stays in various locations around the world (“Blocks”).
Important: Not a Travel Organizer
Dare Together is not a travel organizer (Reiseveranstalter) within the meaning of EU Directive 2015/2302 on package travel and linked travel arrangements, or §§ 651a–651y of the German Civil Code (BGB). We do not offer package travel or linked travel arrangements. Members independently arrange and pay for their own travel, accommodation, and meals. Participation in blocks and adventures is entirely voluntary.
Joining Dare Together requires submitting an application through our Website. Applications are reviewed individually. Acceptance is at our sole discretion; there is no entitlement to membership.
Membership is personal and non-transferable. Each person may hold only one account. By applying, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Upon acceptance, you will receive an onboarding invitation. Your membership becomes active once you complete the onboarding process and accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
Dare Together is currently in its founding season. During this period, community membership is entirely free of charge. No membership fees, subscription fees, or participation fees are charged.
Members are responsible for their own costs, including but not limited to: travel, accommodation, meals, visa fees, and personal expenses. Costs for group activities (adventures) are communicated in advance and split among participating members.
We reserve the right to introduce a monthly membership fee in the future. If and when paid memberships are introduced:
We use a passwordless authentication system (magic link via email). You are responsible for maintaining the security of the email account associated with your Dare Together membership.
You must notify us immediately at hello@daretogether.net if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account that is not caused by us.
As a member, you may upload content to our platform, including but not limited to: profile information, photos, and written contributions (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. By uploading User Content, you grant Dare Together a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, and distribute your User Content within the platform and for reasonable promotional purposes (e.g., featuring member stories on our website or social media). This license terminates when you delete your User Content or your membership ends, except for content that has already been shared or published.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload your User Content and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, without prior notice.
Dare Together® is a registered trademark of Simon Maximilian Heistermann. The Dare Together name, logo, website design, and all original content on this website (including text, images, graphics, and code) are the intellectual property of Simon Maximilian Heistermann and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent. This includes using our name or logo in connection with any product, service, or activity that is not affiliated with Dare Together.

We strongly recommend that all members obtain appropriate travel and health insurance for their trips.
Our platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages arising from the use of our platform is limited as follows:
The above limitations do not apply to liability for injury to life, body, or health, or to mandatory liability under product liability law (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
During the founding season, our services are provided free of charge. For gratuitous services, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence in accordance with the principles of § 521 BGB.
We may suspend or terminate your membership if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law. The process for handling violations is described in our Community Guidelines.
Serious violations (including harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity) may result in immediate termination without prior warning.
You may terminate your membership at any time by contacting us at hello@daretogether.net. Upon termination, your access to the member portal will be deactivated and your profile will be removed from the member directory. Data retention after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If you are a consumer within the meaning of EU law, you also retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
If you are a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be Borken, Germany.

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

Non-material changes (corrections, clarifications, formatting) may take effect immediately with notice.
